Progress Coordinator
Description✓South Thames College are now looking for a Progress Coordinator to develop and manage the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective support service to learners with physical disabilities, medical conditions, sensory impairments, mental health issues, learning difficulties and other inclusive needs to meet the College’s strategic and operational objectives.
✓You will act as the nominated person for referrals from professionals working with the young person and assess the individuals needs, including risk assessments, and act as a lead for an agreed caseload of learners including assessing support needs, requesting high needs support funding, coordinating support packages that meet EHCP outcomes and chairing EHCP annual reviews.
✓We’re looking for an individual who has a successful and proven track record in managing a support provision in a post 16 educational setting for learners with mental health issues, physical disabilities, medical conditions, sensory impairments, learning difficulties and other support needs to enhance achievement rates
✓Able to communicate effectively at a variety of levels, you will have good working knowledge of how to support learners in an educational context and have good working knowledge of the SEND reforms, equality & safeguarding legislation and the implications for the Learning Support Service.
✓Experience of coordinating and supervising a team is also essential, as is a proven track record of delivering staff development training
✓A Level 3 qualification [or above] in Social Work or Advice & Guidance is desirable, however, this is not essential.
✓Closing date for the return of completed applications is 13th July 2023
