This "Good" SEN Primary school, based in Uxbridge, who are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students, are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant [SEND TA] to join their team

Job Description:
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant [SEND TA] for complex learners, you will be responsible for providing dedicated support to students with a range of special educational needs
You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a tailored learning experience that addresses individual needs, promotes independence, and fosters social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to students with complex learning needs, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.
Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans [IEPs], ensuring that specific learning objectives are met.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, adapting teaching materials and resources as required.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting self-esteem and independence.
Encourage and facilitate effective communication and social interaction among students.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and reporting any concerns.
Assist with personal care needs, as necessary, ensuring the well-being and safety of students at all times.
Contribute to the planning and organisation of educational activities and outings.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and any incidents or interventions.Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with complex learners and special educational needs.
Strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Knowledge of special educational needs policies and practices, including familiarity with relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with complex learning needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
Basic knowledge of assistive technology and alternative communication systems is desirable.
