Our client is currently working exclusively with British Airways [BA] to provide opportunities for ex-Military aircraft maintainers and those who may be considering leaving the Military an opportunity to attain a  UKCAA Part 66 Category B Aircraft Maintenance License.

The Individual
You will be ex-Military or be in the process of leaving the military.
You will have a demonstratable minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance experience in a mechanical discipline.
The Position
Completion of a 100-day, UK CAA Part 66 Category B modular training course [approximately 5 months full time training] whilst employed as a BA Aircraft Mechanic from day 1.
Training will take place at British Airways London Heathrow or Cardiff International Airport facilities.
Upon the successful completion of training, full time roles will be shift based at the British Airways Maintenance Centre, Cardiff Wales Airport or at British Airways’ base at London Heathrow Airport
During this period [circa 6 months] you will complete a period of civil aviation practical experience whilst operating as an experienced unlicensed mechanic.
After successful completion of the modular training course and the required period of experience, basic Part 66 licence applications can be made to the UK CAA with support from Resource Group if needed
Subsequent Type Rating training and qualification will be undertaken directly by BA.
Conditions
Permanent position
Starting salary £31,796 in full time training, rising to £36,906 upon gaining mechanic approvals post training.
4 on 4 off shift system with 17 days annual leave  
On successful Part 66 basic licence application salary will increase to £46,999
Upon gaining type rating and becoming a Licensed Aircraft Engineer you will earn £61,321 plus shift pay.
