2nd Application Support Engineer
Description✓A leading fintech client of ours is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Application Support Engineer to join their dynamic team
✓You will provide second-line support to clients, act as an escalation point, monitor and manage databases and application environments, resolve support calls/incidents, and contribute to proactive maintenance and health checks
✓The role also involves supporting Cloud-based customers, participating in service review meetings, and sharing knowledge within the team.
✓This role will be hybrid in Glasgow and will involve on-call work.
✓Required Skills:
✓Minimum 2 years of application support experience
✓Proficiency in T-SQL, Windows Server administration, and problem-solving
✓Experience with ITSM tools and knowledge of ITIL processes
✓Desirable Skills:
✓Experience with public cloud platforms [Azure, AWS]
✓Ability to diagnose and resolve database performance issues
✓Mentoring experience and knowledge of the Financial Services industry
