✓At SRG we are partnered with a global pharmaceutical company who are searching for an experienced Pharmacovigilance professional to join the team as their Local Safety Officer
✓The successful candidate will operate in this capacity for UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance with relevant pharmacovigilance [PV] regulatory requirements globally and locally and ensures the local PV system is operating appropriately by executing operational PV tasks.
✓The Role
✓Responsibilities include:
✓Ensuring safety reports collection process in the designated countries is implemented and overseeing the processes
✓Evaluating and updating local SOPs & local appendices to company's affiliate core SOPs as required
✓Performing/overseeing monitoring of local PV legislation and implementation of Risk Management Plans [RMPs] as required.
✓Being accountable for managing local stakeholders [e.g
✓Marketing] as well as local PV vendors.
✓Providing PV Training to relevant teams and external parties as necessary to ensure PV processes are implemented properly.
✓Operating as a key contributor for the affiliate audit/inspection in UK and Ireland
✓Facilitating the local implementation of global processes as required
✓Implementing and maintaining PV agreements/SDEAs with local partners/PV service providers working with internal subject matter experts [SMEs]
✓Coordinating periodic communications with partners and ensure the contract is up-to-date and the process is operating well and ensure periodic reconciliations are carried out
✓Your skills and experience
✓Life sciences, Pharmacy or Medical Sciences degree required [post-graduate qualification preferred]
✓Prior Pharmacovigilance experience in pharmaceutical industry
✓Strong working knowledge of International, European, and local PV laws and guidance.
✓Able to understand complex matters with a continuous focus on improvement
✓Proactive, independent approach where needed but also comfortable with working in matrix teams at local/international level
✓Analytic and systematic approach with good problem-solving skills
✓Strong interpersonal skills
