✓A leading Aerospace Engineering organisation have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Stress Engineer to work as part of a team on all phases of the project life cycle including design, demonstration, development, production and customer support
✓As a Stress Engineer you will be responsible for performing stress and structural analyses to ensure the integrity and performance of the design meets all required standards so a strong mathematical emphasis is required
✓You will benefit from working with some of the best Engineers in the UK focussed on truely unique products that continue to be used globally within the Aerospace sector.
✓As a Stress Engineer your key responsibilities will include -
✓+ Analysis of new and existing systems which may involve, hardware and propellant charge structure analysis, CFD and thermal analysis.
✓+ Responsible for hardware and charge analysis including finite element analysis modelling, calculation of safety factors.
✓+ Analysis of material testing and providing advice to the technical community.
✓+ Responsible for the structural performance technical authority aspects of assigned projects, including supporting project customer meetings, project investigations, design reviews, and corresponding customer stress engineers.
✓+ Deliver key project documentation including, structural analysis and structural test plans and reports and structural design records.
✓+ Contribution to qualifications report
✓+ Identify risks and issues that may impact delivery, including time, quality and cost, and communicate solutions with the Design Manager.
✓Skills and knowledge required for a Stress Engineer -
✓+ Educated to degree level within Mechanical or Aeronautical
✓+ Min 24 months of commercial experience within Aerospace or Defence sector
✓+ Proficient in the use of FEA software ideally ANSYS
