✓Contract: Full time, long term - commencing September 2023
✓Pay: £13 - £16 per hour dependent on experience

✓As a Cover Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of teaching staff absences and maximising students' learning opportunities.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Manage, oversee, and administer learning provision for teaching staff absences, both planned and unplanned.
✓Organise cover arrangements to minimise disruptions to student progress and maximise their learning experience.
✓Develop and implement eLearning materials in collaboration with Teaching and Learning Leaders across faculties to deliver content to students in KS3, 4, and 5.
✓Lead and develop a comprehensive system of cover supervision for all absent teachers.
✓Utilise SIMS and EduLink systems to effectively communicate staff absences, record teacher absence and cover.
✓Induct, deploy, and line manage Cover Supervisors, coordinating with faculty heads to ensure appropriate and relevant cover work.
✓Prepare a daily rota for cover arrangements and communicate cover requirements to staff in advance.
✓Ensure DBS checks, references, qualifications, and paperwork are in place for all supply teachers, and provide them with relevant school procedures and policies.
✓Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students complete assigned work, maintain order, and stay on task.
✓Requirements:
✓Excellent literacy and numeracy skills [GCSE Maths and English or equivalent].
✓First Aid Qualification [or willingness to obtain].
✓Experience working with young people of secondary school age.
✓Experience managing staff.
✓Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage conflicting demands.
✓An interest in education and working within an educational environment.
✓Knowledge of behaviour management and classroom strategies
