✓We are currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Inclusion and Innovation department
✓As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEND and/or EAL, enabling their success within the curriculum and beyond.
✓Key Responsibilities:
✓Collaborate with the Head of Inclusion to support the school's vision, aims, objectives, and values.
✓Provide assistance to students across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, aiding their learning across various subjects.
✓Prepare differentiated resources for individual students or groups with specific needs.
✓Collaborate with the teaching and network support team to develop innovative strategies for student support.
✓Monitor the progress of students targeted for support and provide regular feedback to the Head of Inclusion and Innovation.
✓Assist with literacy work, including hearing students read, three mornings a week.
✓Attend Inclusion and Innovation meetings, as well as departmental meetings.
✓Required Qualifications and Skills:
✓A degree or equivalent qualification.
✓Successful experience in working with students with Special Educational Needs/EAL [not essential as continuous training will be provided].
✓Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating high levels of initiative, energy, and enthusiasm.
✓Clear and accurate communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of English.
✓Proactive approach with the ability to seek guidance when necessary.
✓Strong ability to follow instructions and ensure students meet required tasks.
✓Well-organised, prioritising tasks and demonstrating a proactive attitude towards task completion.
✓Team player with sensitivity and tact when dealing with young adults and diverse individuals.
