✓Our client, one of the most famous and oldest independent schools in the UK are seeking a Porter to join their well-renowned school.
✓This is a varied role that takes you out and about around the School, getting to know a wide range of staff and providing postal delivery, receptionist and office administration services
✓You will operate the School's post room, taking in post, delivering it around the site and operating the postal payment machines.
✓Receptionist duties will feature as you stand in when required to answer the phone, deal with a wide range of queries and greet visitors
✓You will also use your office administration skills to support the wider Facilities team with tasks that keep the practical operation of the School running smoothly.
✓You will have experience of working in a similar role, perhaps as a caretaker or facilities assistant, willing to lift weights of up to 25kg and drive a range of vehicles such as cars, minibuses and buggies.
✓Your knowledge of MS Office applications will enable you to undertake administration tasks for the facilities team
✓Taking pride in developing your knowledge of the daily operation of the School and its staff, you will have a flair for providing a first-class, memorable customer service using your excellent communication skills and calm, welcoming demeanour to ensure that staff, parents and other visitors have an optimum experience.
✓The Bursary is the initial point of contact for visitors and the majority of telephone enquiries and for the delivery and collection of mail, both external and internal
✓It also houses the Senior Bursarial Team, Accounts department and bursarial administration.
