Our client, one of the most famous and oldest independent schools in the UK are seeking a Porter to join their well-renowned school.
This is a varied role that takes you out and about around the School, getting to know a wide range of staff and providing postal delivery, receptionist and office administration services
You will operate the School's post room, taking in post, delivering it around the site and operating the postal payment machines.
Receptionist duties will feature as you stand in when required to answer the phone, deal with a wide range of queries and greet visitors
You will also use your office administration skills to support the wider Facilities team with tasks that keep the practical operation of the School running smoothly.
You will have experience of working in a similar role, perhaps as a caretaker or facilities assistant, willing to lift weights of up to 25kg and drive a range of vehicles such as cars, minibuses and buggies.
Your knowledge of MS Office applications will enable you to undertake administration tasks for the facilities team
Taking pride in developing your knowledge of the daily operation of the School and its staff, you will have a flair for providing a first-class, memorable customer service using your excellent communication skills and calm, welcoming demeanour to ensure that staff, parents and other visitors have an optimum experience.
The Bursary is the initial point of contact for visitors and the majority of telephone enquiries and for the delivery and collection of mail, both external and internal
It also houses the Senior Bursarial Team, Accounts department and bursarial administration.
