Teaching Assistant
Description✓We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream secondary school located in Lewisham
✓The role is full-time and long-term, with an immediate start and is expected to last until the end of the academic year
✓The salary range for this position is £80.00 to £100.00 per day, depending on experience.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
✓Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
✓Promoting positive behaviour management in the classroom and around the school.
✓Encouraging and motivating students to engage in their learning.
✓Administering routine classroom tasks such as marking, photocopying, and display work.
✓Working closely with the class teacher to provide effective support to students with special educational needs
✓Requirements:
✓Previous experience working with children in a formal or informal setting is essential.
✓A DBS check on the update service is mandatory for this role.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your initiative.
✓Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
✓A desire to support the academic, social, and emotional development of young people.
✓A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
✓A graduate degree in any subject is highly desirable
