Business Development Manager
Description✓Our client, a rapidly expanding, reliable and professional global freight forwarding service provider, is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to be based remotely and reporting into offices in the East / Greater London area.

✓Main Purpose of the Role;
✓Reporting to Senior Management, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business for the company by handling the sales process from start to finish.
✓Main Purpose of the Role;
✓* Cold calling potential customers
✓* Qualify new business customers
✓* Be able to take quotations [All modes of import/domestic transport]
✓* Ability to follow quotations to closure and bring on new bookings
✓* Support the branch on growth of the new business
✓* Various administration tasks that support the sales process
✓* Plan and organise sales activities
✓* Make effective visits to customers to obtain factual information
✓* Report accurately on customer visits and customer details on the database
✓* Arrange appropriate follow up customer visits
✓* Expand the boundaries of the current business
✓* Strategies developed to stay ahead of the competition
✓* Administration and reporting procedures prior to handover of client
✓To Be Considered
✓* Knowledge and experience of the freight forwarding sector, from a sale and operational perspective
✓* Experience selling to direct importers
✓* Goal orientated attitude
✓* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✓* Analytical thinking abilities
✓* Planning and organising skills
✓* Confidence in sales pitch and contacting new people
✓* Hunting sales approach
