If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client a reputable consultancy as a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialising in water frameworks.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the water frameworks team, leading and driving mechanical engineering aspects of water-related projects
You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of mechanical systems, equipment selection, and providing technical expertise in water infrastructure projects such as water treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution networks, and wastewater management.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems and equipment for water frameworks projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost estimation for proposed mechanical solutions.
* Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for mechanical systems.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other disciplines such as civil, electrical, and structural engineering.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
* Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
* Conduct site inspections and monitoring to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and regulatory compliance.
* Stay updated with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices related to mechanical engineering in water frameworks.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within water infrastructure projects, ideally within a consultancy environment.
* Professional engineering certification [e.g., CEng or equivalent] is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in water treatment, pumping stations, and distribution networks.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to water infrastructure.
