✓Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Stores Manager to join their team in Bradford
✓As the Stores Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stock control, including receipt, issue, and storage of materials across our two manufacturing sites
✓Your primary goal will be to ensure the implementation and adherence to effective stock management processes, while also maintaining workplace health and safety standards.
✓Responsibilities:
✓* Gain a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision, and align your department's goals with them.
✓* Ensure compliance with business ERP systems and maintain accurate data records.
✓* Take ownership of the 'goods in process' and 'goods issue' processes across both manufacturing sites.
✓* Support the accounts department with month-end stock reporting.
✓* Coordinate and manage all activities associated with the annual stock take.
✓* Optimize the use of warehouse space to support efficient and safe stock control systems.
✓* Develop and manage effective control processes to ensure stock accuracy.
✓* Coordinate and monitor the dispatch of goods.
✓* Effectively manage and develop a team of warehouse operators, supporting their training and development goals.
✓* Utilize space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, while meeting quality, budgetary, and environmental targets.
✓* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
✓* Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
✓* Handle any other reasonable requests as needed.
✓Qualifications/Experience:
✓* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
✓* Proven experience in managing stock and teams in a manufacturing environment.
✓* Strong analytical abilities, good numeracy skills, and understanding of finance for stock management.
✓* Effective people management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead, and motivate a team, delegate work, and communicate ideas.
✓* Excellent planning and organizing skills.
✓* Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
✓* Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work at both tactical and strategic levels.
✓* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
✓* Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends.
✓* Full driving license.
✓* Forklift Driver license.
✓* Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Office, especially Excel.
