Description✓Activity and Wellbeing Lead
✓Hourly rate - £11.08 per hour
✓Hours per week – 30 hours per week [Monday to Friday]
✓Could you be the next enthusiastic team-player to join us in our wonderful home? Your main role will be to plan and deliver meaningful, person-centred activity and occupation to all our residents
✓You will also guide, develop and coach our staff in engagement and activity with residents, so that every day is filled with magic moments
✓We believe it is everyone’s role to help our residents live well, and enjoy life
✓You will ensure residents’ dignity and self-esteem is enhanced through meaningful engagement, positive relationships and free expression of individuality.
✓Included in your responsibilities:
✓* Leading on, and delivering, high quality meaningful activity for all residents
✓* Ensuring people living with dementia enjoy the same opportunities for engagement and activity as other residents
✓* Stimulating excellent interaction and communication between staff and residents
✓* Promoting and developing mealtimes as highlight of the day
✓* Creating and maintaining excellent community links
✓So that you have the confidence and skills to deliver high quality activity and engagement to residents, you will receive individual support, guidance and investment in your development.
✓Applicants must have a positive forward-thinking approach, have the ability to enthuse and guide others, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
✓Care home experience is an advantage, as is any previous experience of providing activity or leading others
✓You will also need be assertive, yet flexible
