Residential Children's Home Manager

Support young people between the ages of 8 and 18 who present with challenging behaviours.
What will you do?
Take on the role of Residential Manager
You will be responsible for the day to day management and running of the home
Ensure that all young people are supported and prepared to move on to independent living
Develop appropriate attachments to the young people, while maintaining professional boundaries
Manage the staff team; delivering training, induction, supervision and appraisal
Ensure that the staff team provide the highest levels of emotional and physical support to every young person
Drive team development; through ongoing training and professional qualifications
Complete risk assessments and manage the 'risk management' process
Assist with the 'on-call' during incidents, emergencies or for other issues that may arise
What are the details?
A salary up to £35,000 per annum
Permanent employment contract
Full time 40 hours per week
Core hours are between Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm
Some out-of-hours working may be required [during emergencies / incidents etc.]
Based in the Neath / Port Talbot area
What do we need?
An experienced manager who has lead a team in a Children's care/residential setting
Solid understanding of the CIW inspection process.
Someone who is confident and capable of running a home
Holds a level 5 in Diploma in Leadership - Health and Social Care Services [Children and Young People] *or working towards*
Able to register with CIW and Social Care Wales [or already registered]
Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check, or already on the DBS update service
You'll need access to a car for this role
Able to commute to Neath / Port Talbot
