You then have it corner weighted, aligned and the rears shimmed by specialists AW Motorworks in May 2021.Chassis:The addition of a Quaife LSD is a huge upgrade, fitted in may last year upon which a comprehensive gearbox rebuild was carried out at a total cost of £3,298 again by the specialists at AW Motorworks in May 2021.Tyres are the reputable Nankang AR1 semi slick but what's interesting here is the Trophy spec Speedline Turinis have been fitted with a device called Tyre Insight
This fairly expensive modification beams tyre pressure and temperature information directly to an app for live data or the ability to check after a track session.Engine:Power isn't everything, with the main focus being on chassis and handling the engine remains fairly standard
With little upgrades such as the KTR Induction kit and Powerflow exhaust the car breathes easier and has a nice induction growl.Interior:Mark Fish motorsport, a legend in the history of renaulsport racing in the UK and also a supplier of Safety devices roll cages
In 2018 the Trophy was taken the Mark Fish motorsport where they fitted a bolt in rear half cage custom spec'd to be powdercoated in the trophys body colour capsium red.The original steering wheel has also been swapped out for a sued Sabelt option.As you can see the specification on this car is huge, and I can comfortably say out of the 30+ Renaultsport clios I have driven this one is by far the best
Its not just me who has this opinion but some very handy and famous racing drivers have also given this car the thumbs up around Goodwood.Service history as you would expect is incredible, with all parts being purchased new and fitted/ set up by specialists there is easily £10,000 worth of invoices just covering the past few years
This accompanies a fully stamped service book
The invoices cover everything with genuinely thousands of pounds spent on a total overhall of bushes, bearings, consumables, and even new genuine Renault grills
Anything this car has needed with no expense spared.It's had its belts changed this May by Two Techs, as well as a fresh MOT
Last year it also had driveshafts, radiator, and air con condenser replaced
Everything works!In my opinion this is the perfect Trophy, you get to enjoy guilt free motoring knowing you are not destroying a delivery mileage collectors item and actually get the enjoy the car as intended
As such please bare in mind that although in overall really nice condition the car is 17 years old, gas been enjoyed and does have some stone chips and will have had some paint previously in its life.This is the perfect investment car which can be enjoyed and also retain its value over the years to come.
