1988 Yamaha XT 350 cc XT350, Enduro Motorbike Motorcycle Green Laning Low Mileage 29k
Description✓1988 Yamaha XT 350
✓Matching frame and engine numbers and is UK registered.
✓Ignition key present, the full V5 and also a little history in the form of some maintenance log entries and four of the old hand written type MOT certificates.
✓The last time this was on the road was in 2003 which aligns with the last issued tax disc affixed to the bike.
✓The mileage currently reads 29,487 which I believe to be genuine based on the following MOT records
✓[1995] 16,790
✓[1996] 18,916
✓[1997] 22,321
✓[2003] 29,450
✓V5 in my name for a number of years.
✓I intended to return the bike to the road for green laning but other work has taken priority.
✓The bike has not been started for many years so will need some recommissioning / restoration before being used.
✓The engine had been rebuilt before I purchased it
✓In the paperwork are the documents for a gasket set which would suggest this was correct along with the parts that were actually replaced.
✓The bike was taken off the road shortly after the MOT in 2003 when mileage was recorded at 29,450
✓You will see the clock is only now showing 29,487 so it was in a reasonable state before being laid up.
✓Checks done include:
✓1] Spark is generated when using the kick start
✓2] Neutral Green dash light is shown
✓3] Horn works
✓4] Indicators work
✓5] Brake light works
✓The tank is dry and I have not added fuel as I'm sure the carbs will need cleaning / setting up after being laid up for this amount of time.
✓The battery has been removed.
✓You are buying this for spares or repair, there is no warranty
✓I cannot vouch for how well the engine was rebuilt as I did not do it and for what else the bike may need.
✓The only 1988 bike I could find listed was for sale at £3995
✓Another 1988 bike sold for spares or repair for £1650
✓All others I have seen listed on an auction site recently have been 1990 and onward models
✓The nearest comparision sold for more that I am asking with missing and damaged plastics, so this feels well priced.
