DescriptionHealthcare and disease is not the only problem facing Yemenis
There are recurring floods, blackouts and price hikes caused by inflation that have left countless Yemenis struggling to survive
Many people in Yemen are not able to buy food, medical supplies and other basic essentials
Reports reveal that 85,000 children under the age of 5 have died from hunger and disease in Yemen, but it didn’t need to be this way.

With our Yemen Emergency Appeal, our teams have been providing life-saving assistance and support to the people of Yemen
Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters, we have truly been able to save lives in Yemen.

Donate to our Yemen Emergency Appeal so we can help more Yemenis through this devastating crisis.

Affordable Online Criminology Lessons For Teens 14 - 16

I'm Gabriel, an online tutor with over 6 years teaching experience Before moving to online teaching, I taught at schools in the north east of England [supply teaching] at Hillsview Academy [now Outwood Academy Normanby], Unity City Academy, Our Lady & St Bede, Outwood Academy Ormesby, Outwood Academy Redcar and The Wensleydale School in Leyburn. I work with pupils 14 - 16 online via Zoom, who have school attendance issues / a dislike & refuse to study core subjects. Criminology is a fantastic alternative subject for teenagers to study. 35 – 40 minute online lessons would cover: Analyse different types of crime Criminological theories This would benefit parents who's children are: 1 - refusing to attend school 2 - continually being excluded from school 3 - no interest or struggling with core subjects 4 - no support / not engaging with teachers at school 5 - pupils wanting to learn a subject of interest 6 - parents wanting to offer their child a subject of interest outside the standard curriculum. To make online lessons affordable, parents can split the cost of a lesson i.e. £10.50 split between 2 pupils would cost £5.25 each per 35 / 40 minute online lesson [2 pupils maximum]. Teenagers who come under the above criteria are not keen on hour long sessions, so we stick to the "40 minute max" rule as a compromise. Criminology has many learning elements, and introduces other learning objectives through a non core subject [stealth learning] i.e. studying different types of crime [white collar, moral, state, tech, hate, honour, domestic abuse crimes], media representation of crime [tabloids, music, film], laws in different countries [geography], laws in different cultures [diverse learning], creativity [campaign for change], how society create laws [social construction of crime], biology, physiology, sociology and psychology. Online lessons via Zoom would run for up to 40 minutes [2 pupils maximum]. This could be a short term solution [or long term in serious cases] providing online lessons offering an alternative interesting subject. All lessons are planned and structured which includes homework. I hold safeguarding children & Prevent certification. I'm registered on the disclosure & barring update service I'm registered with Teaching Personnel & Equal Education Partners for online teaching as part of the National Tutoring Programme [standby tutor] I'm also registered with Find Tutors. I'm not keen on using this site due to the shockingly higher charges [their cut] to parents & students. If parents wish to offer their child aged 14 – 16 criminology lessons and would like to discuss this further via a Zoom meeting, please contact me to arrange this.
