Ghost hunt - Northern Hope Centre [Gateshead]

9pm - 2am Friday 16/06/2023 Part of a secret World War One munitions factory used to make shells and cartridge cases. Cold breezes can be felt here and people say stones have been thrown at them. There have been multiple ghostly sightings of what are believed to be former factory workers. These include figures that walk through the building and sometimes through walls. Also a portly, nasty looking man has been seen and a tall shadowy figure that seems to watch people.

Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot on 22nd October 2023 OPEN THIS SUNDAY Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot – 100 odd sellers last weekend which wasn’t bad considering the rain we’d had and how cold it was first thing. This Sunday looks like a nice day so expecting another good turnout. So just turn up and sell from £6 no booking needed, Covered stalls are available to reserve for any Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday by texting 07817539168 but be quick as they sell out. By the way – the threat of the road closures won’t affect the Car Boot – we run as normal. We also have great news for Sellers/Buyers at Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot as we have a license allowing all Plant/Bulb Sellers or in fact any Gardening sellers to sell at the Car Boot. So NO RESTRICTIONS at all with any Gardening items. This is great news as I've had to turn so many people away. This is already bringing in a lot more sellers and buyers to Stonham. So, come and sell every Sunday. We are expecting some of the big plant and bulb sellers to start selling soon. We are the best priced & still the friendliest Car Boot in Suffolk so come & sell from only £6 and it’s still free parking & buying & everyone welcome to just turn up and have a look around as there’s so much to do at Stonham. I've had a few questions about when we actually start. We always used to start at 8am and most people do still turn up at 8/8.30 but, we do get people arriving stupidly early onwards. So, it's really up to you. 7 onwards is sensible. We have enough space for everyone. I’ve also been asked when we finish for the year. Good question. We’ll get to the end of October and check the forecasts and the fields and make a decision then. If the recent rain continues we could end at the end of the month – we will see. Events run at the same time as the Car Boot so a bigger crowd always expected. The next & last of the year is the Saxons and Vikings on the 29th October 2023. Prices have remained the same with selling at £6 for cars. Cars with trailers £8.50, Small Vans £8.50 and large vans £12, Vans with Trailers are also £12. There is NO NEED TO BOOK. Covered Stalls are available for every Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday but these do go very quickly as there are only 20. These ONLY can be pre-booked on 07817539168 [text to pre-book]. These offer some shade to sellers as well as a tabletop & protection against wind & rain. These are on the main field and you pull in behind them and set up. Everyone else wishing to sell at Stonham can just turn up on the day. Everyone loves Stonham as its unbeatable when the weather is good. It has a great atmosphere and a knowledgeable friendly crowd made up of all ages. Families young and old, dog friendly and it caters for the disabled. You can still sell from Six Pounds right up to Twelve Pounds for Covered stalls. These are really a hit with the sellers as you can book by texting 07817539168 pull up behind set up and sell and pack up and leave at the end of the day. They also guarantee a main field position near to toilets and Drinks/Food. Alternatively, we are still the cheapest in Suffolk so you can just turn up from 7am and sell and that’s every Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays from April to November. We are also lucky to benefit from regular events at Stonham where the Car Boot crowd is often doubled & that’s on top of a very big buying crowd. Again, a big thanks to the majority who followed the distancing and one-way routes and abide by our strict no harassment policy which is why Stonham Barns Car Boot is always such a friendly place to sell and buy at. We let Buyers in at the same time as sellers but – please allow me to get everyone into position so please don’t hinder this and please don’t stand behind cars whilst they unload. No one is going to jump in and buy before you as it just isn’t that kind of car boot. The reason we have become so popular is because we don’t have people harassing sellers. 9pm - 2am Saturday 18/03/2023 £51 per person Featured on TVs Are You Haunted? In 1838 the homeless [including many children] were forced to live and work here in conditions described worse than a prison. After being humiliated beaten and starved those that died were usually buried in unmarked graves. The frightening apparition of a man has been seen in the upstairs rooms where objects are known to move, fall, or be found out of place. A female spirit is also often seen and heard. Strange noises have been witnessed throughout the building such as talking, moaning, sighing and even breathing in people’s ears.

Ghost hunt - Ryton Masonic Hall [Gateshead] 06/05/2023

9pm - 2am Saturday 06/05/2023 A large manor house dating back to the 1860’s. It’s been home to a railway engineer, a wealthy solicitor and a vicar before being used for Masonic rituals. Throughout the many rooms a female voice has been heard along with strange dragging sounds, whispering, tapping, and whistling. Chairs have been seen moving on their own and doors slamming. Expecting the same again this Sunday with more good weather. So just turn up on Sunday and sell from £6. Everyone else can just turn up on the day. Plus starting this Year we will begin the Stonham Barns Thursday Car Boot which will begin once the Sunday Car Boot has started. I'm expecting to give you a date once the Sunday gets going. We’ll need lots of support to make sure this is a permanent fixture so please let everyone know.
