Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot on 22nd October 2023 OPEN THIS SUNDAY Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot – 100 odd sellers last weekend which wasn’t bad considering the rain we’d had and how cold it was first thing. This Sunday looks like a nice day so expecting another good turnout. So just turn up and sell from £6 no booking needed, Covered stalls are available to reserve for any Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday by texting 07817539168 but be quick as they sell out. By the way – the threat of the road closures won’t affect the Car Boot – we run as normal. We also have great news for Sellers/Buyers at Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot as we have a license allowing all Plant/Bulb Sellers or in fact any Gardening sellers to sell at the Car Boot. So NO RESTRICTIONS at all with any Gardening items. This is great news as I've had to turn so many people away. This is already bringing in a lot more sellers and buyers to Stonham. So, come and sell every Sunday. We are expecting some of the big plant and bulb sellers to start selling soon. We are the best priced & still the friendliest Car Boot in Suffolk so come & sell from only £6 and it’s still free parking & buying & everyone welcome to just turn up and have a look around as there’s so much to do at Stonham. I've had a few questions about when we actually start. We always used to start at 8am and most people do still turn up at 8/8.30 but, we do get people arriving stupidly early onwards. So, it's really up to you. 7 onwards is sensible. We have enough space for everyone. I’ve also been asked when we finish for the year. Good question. We’ll get to the end of October and check the forecasts and the fields and make a decision then. If the recent rain continues we could end at the end of the month – we will see. Events run at the same time as the Car Boot so a bigger crowd always expected. The next & last of the year is the Saxons and Vikings on the 29th October 2023. Prices have remained the same with selling at £6 for cars. Cars with trailers £8.50, Small Vans £8.50 and large vans £12, Vans with Trailers are also £12. There is NO NEED TO BOOK. Covered Stalls are available for every Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday but these do go very quickly as there are only 20. These ONLY can be pre-booked on 07817539168 [text to pre-book]. These offer some shade to sellers as well as a tabletop & protection against wind & rain. These are on the main field and you pull in behind them and set up. Everyone else wishing to sell at Stonham can just turn up on the day. Everyone loves Stonham as its unbeatable when the weather is good. It has a great atmosphere and a knowledgeable friendly crowd made up of all ages. Families young and old, dog friendly and it caters for the disabled. You can still sell from Six Pounds right up to Twelve Pounds for Covered stalls. These are really a hit with the sellers as you can book by texting 07817539168 pull up behind set up and sell and pack up and leave at the end of the day. They also guarantee a main field position near to toilets and Drinks/Food. Alternatively, we are still the cheapest in Suffolk so you can just turn up from 7am and sell and that’s every Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays from April to November. We are also lucky to benefit from regular events at Stonham where the Car Boot crowd is often doubled & that’s on top of a very big buying crowd. Again, a big thanks to the majority who followed the distancing and one-way routes and abide by our strict no harassment policy which is why Stonham Barns Car Boot is always such a friendly place to sell and buy at. We let Buyers in at the same time as sellers but – please allow me to get everyone into position so please don’t hinder this and please don’t stand behind cars whilst they unload. No one is going to jump in and buy before you as it just isn’t that kind of car boot. The reason we have become so popular is because we don’t have people harassing sellers. If anyone oversteps their mark we will stop buyers entering the field until gone 7am. We are outdoors only but offer covered stalls. We will always try to open every week irrespective of the weather as we still get buyers and sellers. Yes indeed! We should give our Salsa praises that Uksalsafeet has secured one of the Top Venues, for your pleasure to dance salsa and other various popular Latin dances at, The Court House, with Uksalsafeet Thank God It’s Friday Salsa Party’ which means to bring you the very best of Salsa and other various Latin dance such as Kizomba, Bachata, and cha cha cha!! This is one of the reasons why more people can’t wait for the second Friday of each month a night filled with lots of dancing, laughing, fun and frivolity at an exclusive venue with a wonderful friendly atmosphere. The Court House boasts an excellent dance floor Air condition rooms, fully stock bar and easy free parking and access. On the night expect special guest teachers each month, free Bottles of Wines and an abundance of dancers of all levels.  The only other thing needed to make the party swing in the Main Room is DJ Paul & Peter on the decks playing all the best Latin tunes around! Ghost hunt - Knottingley Town Hall [Wakefield] 31/03/2023

9pm - 2am Friday 31/03/2023 Featured on TVs Most haunted. Built in 1865 in the vicinity of land once used for Saxon burials, witchcraft and pagan rituals. It also sits on what was once a medieval monastery. In the past these dark, foreboding rooms have been used to store dead bodies. A malevolent energy here is known to fiercely move door handles and throw glasses from shelves. People have been grabbed and tables can be seen moving on their own. Groaning and muffled voices are also heard. Ghostly children are seen along with spectral shadows resembling monks and ladies dressed in wartime clothes.

Junior Lacrosse at Battersea Park Millennium Arena

Lacrosse is the traditional game of North America, known as the medicine game by native American people it was played as a ceremonial game and game of celebration for thousands of years. The coaches were Elders and medicine men and the players were warriors. Today the sport is played professionally in North America. There are currently 236 university teams playing in the UK and strong teams in Manchester and London. We are offering the opportunity to learn to play one of the oldest sports in existence at the iconic Battersea Park Millennium Arena.
