✓JOB SUMMARY
✓To support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day financial operations and monthly financial reporting.
✓There may be the opportunity for some homeworking once handover and knowledge sharing complete.
✓Main Responsibilities
✓* To be responsible for the daily bank account reconciliation processes for the two bank accounts; charity and trading company
✓* To be responsible for the production and payment of accurate and timely settlements from contracted performances and all ticketed events across the Trust
✓* To develop and maintain professional and positive relationships with promotors, resolving queries in a professional and timely manner
✓* To manage the Trust’s payments to PRS
✓* To complete statutory returns, such as FEU1 quarterly returns
✓* To develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Commercial, Communications and Customer Contact and Teams and the Programming Consultant
✓* Liaison with the Commercial, Communications, and Hires Teams to ensure all relevant event costs are captured accurately in the settlement calculation
✓* To complete month end reconciliations, including preparation of accruals, deferred income and adjustments, within the strict deadlines imposed by the monthly budget monitoring timetable
✓* Prepare and develop accurate and useful monthly management information
✓* Regular analysis and reconciliation of profits against reporting information provided by the Programming Consultant
✓Discrepancies to be identified and resolved promptly
✓* Provide monthly profit analysis reports to the Programming Consultant and the Commercial Manager for events, detailing ticketed income, expenditure and profit against budgeted or targeted expectations with analysis of reasons for variances
✓* Ensure compliance with the FRS102 and the Charity SORP
✓* To maintain adequate audit trails in all areas of responsibility
✓* Support the annual external audit
✓* To ensure correct treatment of VAT on activities and assist with preparation of VAT returns
✓* To carry out any other duties as directed to support the finance team, commensurate to
✓* supporting effective financial controls, reporting and business delivery within the finance function
✓Personal Profile
✓* Accountancy qualification [AAT or equivalent]
✓* Experience of working in a financial accountancy role for 3 years or more:
✓* working with integrated finance systems and business systems
✓* performing financial reconciliations and preparing month end accruals and adjustments
✓* providing accurate and timely management accounting information
✓* developing financial reporting and control systems to meet the needs of the business and stakeholders
✓* Strong Excel and analysis skills and experience of other financial reporting tools
✓* Ability to work with external stakeholders in partnership and build strong relationships
✓* Team player, with good communication skills
