Description✓Project Coordinator - Location: Sheffield
✓Our client Talking Heads is a well-established and well regarded company that has grown steadily over the last 20 years+
✓They require a confident, enthusiastic Project Coordinator who will join a team of Translation Project Managers and support staff.
✓The busy Day to Day role includes…
✓* Supporting the full translation process –research, using CAT & TM tools, working with translators, proof-readers, art-workers and other experts, proofing, reviewing, checking, researching, delivery.
✓* Supporting multiple projects effectively, from small ‘minimum charge’ jobs to word counts in the hundreds of thousands,
✓* Following strict processes and recording in a detailed manner,
✓* Supporting the resourcing process, handling new supplier applications, adding suppliers to the online system, cleansing & updating the database when required.
✓Required attributes
✓* We want you to be picky, picky, picky – having a perfectionist's eye for detail and consistency is an absolute must [you can never be too picky when it come to quality and consistency],
✓* High levels of efficiency, organisation and working out strategies to increase efficiency.
✓* Great at researching ideas and tenacious – good at picking up new processes quickly
✓* Confidence to speak up and make suggestions.
✓* Self motivation and innovative, forward thinking [spotting opportunities and challenges]
✓* Naturally great communication skills; explaining a concept with your style and enthusiasm [phone, email and face to face]
✓* Good time management of yourself and others
✓Required knowledge
✓* Microsoft Office – you need to be fully IT literate across all the ‘usuals’ plus any other good stuff you can bring
✓Experience and knowledge in working with Office files is essential.
✓* Familiarity with other file types / system that a client works with; artwork, coding, etc., is beneficial
✓* Trados –familiarity with this programme, its capabilities and possibilities is preferable – extensive knowledge is a bonus!
✓* Knowledge of the structure of language and translation / localisation; why we do what we do and the best way to utilise foreign languages for the benefit of our clients.
✓Experience:
✓It is advantageous to have some element of Project Management / Administration and / or translation agency experience.
