Description✓A Design consultancy enjoying rapid growth is seeking a Design Engineer on a permanent basis with a strong engineering focus to join their team
✓You will provide innovative design solutions for clients using both your mechanical engineering knowledge and design expertise.
✓Commutable from: Hereford, Worcester, Ledbury, Malvern, Monmouth
✓Salary: £ 30,000 - 40,000 p.a

✓The Role
✓Working for a highly creative and technically capable design organisation, with high profile academic partners and strong customer relationships, the Design Engineer will support mechanical engineering focused projects for a diverse range of customers from many sectors.
✓You will lead design activity for projects and support effective rapid prototyping and proving of the work
✓The Design Engineer will engage daily with project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved and that the most innovative and market-leading solutions are explored and created.
✓The Design Engineer will create 3D and 2D CAD content using SolidWorks and undertake stress analysis for projects using FEA packages
✓You will engage with tooling, measurement and manufacturing partners and providing accurate and timely reports and quotations
✓The Mechanical Design Engineer will draw on a depth of engineering experience and knowledge including engineering principles to create complex and innovative solutions.
✓The Person
✓The Design Engineer will possess proven experience in mechanical design and styling, be conversant with SolidWorks and FEA projects and demonstrate depth of experience complex design including rapid iteration/innovative solution creation.
✓The Design Engineer will ideally hold a degree or similar higher-level qualification and be conversant with Design-For-Manufacture process and modern manufacturing methods
✓Previous exposure to injection moulding or 3D Printing is highly advantageous in addition to excellent report writing and communication skills including customer interaction.
✓The Design Engineer will work from the organisation’s offices in the region and offer the benefit of their expertise to support team growth and development.
