Pre-Test Inspector [Mechanical]
Description✓Our client based on the Medway City Estate is seeking a Pre-Test Inspector [mechanical], the role is offered as a permanent full time position.
✓Salary: £26,500 pa, paid monthly
✓Hours: 40-hour standard week
✓8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
✓Overtime: paid at time and a half after 40 hours Monday to Saturday
✓Benefits include: 28 days paid holiday per annum pro-rata including bank holidays.
✓in addition, after every two years completed service, full time employees are entitled to an extra day’s annual holiday, up to a maximum of five extra days after 10 years’ service.
✓This is a busy production facility - electro-mechanical builds of Hybrid Energy Units as well as electrical panels for the marine industry
✓The Pre-Test Inspector role is to inspect units at the end of manufacture, ensuring they have been built to the correct standard.
✓The duties include:
✓* Conducting final product inspections before units go into test
✓This will be done to Standard Operating Procedures [SOP].
✓* Completing Inspection documentation to ship with product.
✓* Alerting the management of ongoing or recurring problems.
✓* Communicating with the production team so they become aware of any defects within the product build.
✓* Communicating with team about potential problems with stock.
✓* Keeping digital files and reports on product quality organized and up to date.
✓* Move the product from the inspection to test area and to assist test with final product packing after test complete.
✓Pre-Test Inspector key skills and qualifications:
✓* Excellent attention to detail
✓* Mechanical engineering background and product safety
✓* Good written and verbal communication
✓* IT literate
