37.5 hours per week, 8:30 – 17:00 Monday Friday
Summary of Position:
Our Planners are key to the success of our operations and play a key role in ensuring we deliver our homes on time every time to our clients
You will be responsible for midterm module production planning, ensuring you hit deadlines and work collaboratively with the wider team
You will be planning the midterm planning horizon taken from the Planning Managers long terms plan and interpret and communicate the demand for the manufacturing scheduler to create the short-term plan.
Working alongside colleagues in the supply chain team, you will be the person who has their finger on the pulse to make sure all orders are placed in advance to support the plan.
To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication skills, be persuasive, tenacious and thorough
You will have an eye for and be comfortable with detail and will be happy to gain an encyclopaedic knowledge of our homes and everything that is required to make them.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Engaging with our customer facing team to gather sales order information and ensuring its accuracy and completeness
• Create an accurate midterm production plan that balances our ability to supply with the requirements from the customer
• Report actual versus forecast and plan information for weekly S&OP meetings
• Work with the sales, production and purchasing teams to ensure they have the information and materials on order or lead times obtained that they need to meet your plan.
• Work with the Warehousing, design and Purchasing Teams to proactively identify manufacturing & supply constraints that will prevent effective production occurring
• Work with MRP systems to generate production orders, identifying and correcting any deviation from the plan so that we produce our homes On Time and to Specification every time.
• Working to bring together the key information to populate the production traveller documents
• Work closely with other departments to ensure further development of the supply chain function

Personal Specifications:
Qualifications & Training:
• APICS CPIM – Certified in production and inventory management or similar preferred
• Yellow belt or lean manufacturing qualification
Experience
• Experience in planning, ideally in a large-scale manufacturing business
• Working in a production environment where your contribution to the success of a production plan is critical.
• Experience of working in an environment with complex multi-level BOMs
• Worked with more than one MRP/ERP system [desirable]
• The ability to work in an agile manner and adapt to change
• The desire to progress and learn further skills to benefit their role
• An excellent ability to perform finite planning and influence stakeholders
