✓Their specialist centre based in Surrey offers long term respiratory support, non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation and support weaning patients from invasive mechanical ventilation
✓They work to improve the way that complex respiratory patients and their families are supported
✓We are actively recruiting a Senior Respiratory Nurse to work at the facility in Surrey.
✓THE RESPONSIBILITIES
✓The overall responsibility working as a Senior Respiratory Nurse is to support patients and their families through all stages of their care
✓Yor role as is to demonstrate good clinical practice and be responsible for all aspects of patient care whilst also supporting and mentoring junior members of staff
✓Your day to day will involve managing and supervising clinical care respiratory patients including assessment, care planning, and on-going support, monitor adherence, including inhaler technique, untoward side effects of the drugs, and assess and arrange provision of oxygen therapy
✓You will assist in the management of all respiratory services in the absence of the senior nurse within the department, co-ordinating the clinical team and delegating duties as appropriate, maintaining safe staffing levels and informing the Matron of any problems or incidents that might arise
✓You will prioritise your own work and that of others to ensure the respiratory service is managed effectively
✓REQUIREMENTS
✓Registered RGN with NMC pin number
✓Experience of working in a respiratory setting or relevant ICU/HDU experience
✓6 month level 2/3 critical care course or a high dependency course
✓Experience of working support junior members of staff
✓Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail
