Basic salary up to £35,000 + bonus + car
We're delighted to be recruiting a business development manager for our client who is a manufacturer of aftermarket truck parts and components
This is an account management role, looking to increase revenue spend from their customers' branch networks and includes some competitor analysis but mostly great relationship building to become supplier of choice.
The Role:
You'll be maximising sales opportunities with key customers who are mostly truck parts distributors
Most customers have a network of branches either regionally or nationally so you'll be building relationships at branch level to encourage them to recommend their products to their own customer base.
The role is national and you'll be home based but need to go into the Chesterfield office at least once a week.
More of the customer branches are based in the north and Midlands so this would be an ideal location.
You'll be able to learn to advise customers on the specification of products and some of their applications so they can use the knowledge to support their own customer choices
You'll even be offering some technical training to develop those customers where needed.
You'll also identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution to lead to an increase in sales
The Person:
You'll have excellent relationship building skills and experience and be used to increasing revenue from an existing client base.
We are looking for someone with some knowledge of the market place, that could be as a truck parts advisor, fitter, someone who has sold into a related field but overall you'll need to be confident communicating on a reasonably technical basis with customers.
Ability to communicate and make presentations professionally and appropriately at branch level
The Package:
A basic salary up to £35,000 is offered depending on experience
There is an annual bonus of around 9% of salary, accruable after successful completion of probation
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Company car, fuel card and credit card for overnight stays
