AAT Accountant

DescriptionAs an assistant accountant your role encompasses the following key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Core Purpose:
Provide support to the Management Accountant in managing the financial and business functions of the organisation.
Administer all aspects of finance
Financial Management:
Calculate accounting adjustments such as accruals and prepayments.
Prepare ad-hoc reports to facilitate decision-making processes.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of financial transactions in compliance with relevant financial management guidelines.
Financial Procedures and Policy:
Support internal and external audit processes as required.
Establish a robust income collection process, ensuring timely receipt and accurate recording of funds.
Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations and other accounting system tasks.
Input accounting data into the system with speed and accuracy.
Contribute to the production of financial statements, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence as necessary.
Plan, organise, and manage workload to ensure timely and accurate contribution to financial reporting processes.
Resolve finance-related queries.
Assist with end-of-year preparation and procedures.
Provide support to the Management Accountant in fulfilling their responsibilities, including additional tasks that may arise.
This role is open to candidates who have relevant experience in either practice or industry.
