Our client is a medium sized niche business based in a village location
They are a company with 25 years' experience specialising in a particular niche
This is an office-based position due to their location outside the village it is not accessible by public transport.
Operating from very smart offices they are in easy access of the A14 and have plenty of free parking available.
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
Accounts/Bookkeeper role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting procedures.
Experience & Profile:
Previous experience in a similar role is required [at least 3 years general accounts experience]
AAT level 4 or equivalent
Duties :
Responsible for the authorisation of payment of invoices
Sending off payment applications in preparation for invoicing.
Responsible for the coding and inputting supplier invoices
Dealing with supplier queries over the telephone
Manual or computerised payments
Statement Reconciliation
Payroll [weekly and monthly]
Nominal ledger - processing of journals.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Process entries & nominal ledger accounts
Code purchase invoices/credits
Input purchase invoices/credits onto the accounting software system using Xero.
Reconcile supplier statements & resolve any queries.
Maintain the aged debtor's account.
Monthly process journals
Cash flow forecasting
Complete month-end procedures up to & including the trial balance.
Production of monthly management accounts
Assist during the annual audit process.
Monitor the Finance Mailbox and dealing with queries.
Assisting with accounts analysis and projections
Be Friendly, outgoing, and approachable.Essential skills:
Experience in a similar role including the use of a recognised accounting system.
Experience in bank, supplier & nominal ledger reconciliations
Experience in online bank payment processes
Excellent Excel and IT skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
A professional, assertive & confident individual
Numeracy skills to interpret & analyse data.
Attention to detail with a strong work ethic.

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
