Accounts Administrator
Description✓Our client, an engineering company based in Romsey, is looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their friendly company
✓The role will be to maintain the Company’s Accounts Receivables and Payables together with other accounting functions.
✓As an Accounts Administrator, you will be required to carry out various duties which include:
✓*
✓Matching and reconciling suppler invoices to purchase orders and goods received
✓Entry of invoices on to the Company’s computerised accounts system
✓*
✓Manage queries and communicating with suppliers to achieve resolution
✓*
✓Preparation of payment runs in both Sterling and foreign currency and liaising with suppliers on payment dates
✓*
✓Posting cash in both accounts payable and receivable, and liaise with Group Finance department in support of these tasks
✓*
✓Assisting and supporting the Buyer when required
✓*
✓Maintain a tight control of debtors’ balances and chase for payment when necessary
✓*
✓Collate and check employee expense sheets
✓*
✓To assist with incoming calls to the Company and provide additional administrative support to the purchasing and sales teams when necessary
✓You will also require the following experience for the Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant position:
✓*
✓Ideally you will be AAT level 2 qualified, or equivalent
✓*
✓A high level of numeracy and accuracy is essential in this role
✓*
✓Proven experience in a similar role using a computerised accounting system
✓*
✓Strong and assertive communication skills are required in dealing with both suppliers and customers so as to develop good working relationships
✓*
✓To work well in a team – liaising with the purchasing/sales departments to resolve bought/sales ledger queries
✓*
✓A good level competency is desirable in Microsoft Office products
✓*
✓Demonstration of a strong work ethic and proven integrity is essential
✓The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, [Apply online only], with an early finish on a Friday.
✓The salary for this role is between £25,000 and £27,000 per year, depending on experience.
