Accounts Assistant
Description✓NXTGEN are working with an established and highly respected Top 30 firm of accountants in their search for an Accounts Assistant
✓This newly created role is the result of sustained and continued growth within their accounting services team with the successful candidate supporting a mixed client base with a range of accounts and bookkeeping tasks
✓People are at the core of this firm, with the practice constantly looking at how they can continue both personal and professional development so you can expect to have opportunities for further progression within this role
✓As Accounts Assistant, you can also expect to work in a client facing capacity so will be expected to forge excellent working relationships and partnerships with your clients.
✓Key responsibilities within the Accounts Assistant role will include:
✓Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements for clients
✓Support the preparation of annual charitable and trust accounts
✓Prepare quarterly VAT returns for clients
✓Undertake bookkeeping tasks for clients including preparation of trial balance
✓Ad hoc tasks to meet client needsThe successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or will have started working towards a recognised accountancy qualification [ACCA, ACA or equivalent]
✓Those candidates who can demonstrate experience working within an accountancy firm but are qualified by experience are also encouraged to apply
✓You will be confident in all aspects of Bookkeeping and will have ideally supported clients with the preparation of monthly accounts too
✓Candidates will need to be confident communicating directly with clients and will ideally be confident using cloud accounting packages
