DescriptionJob Title: Apprentice Accounts Assistant
Location: Hybrid 1 day a week in the Brentwood office.
Salary: Up to £25,000 with a bonus of 10% paid our monthly pro rata after successful passing of probation after 6 months - please not this will be backdated for the first 6 months once probation has been passed.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm.

Relaxed dress codeAbout the role of Apprentice Accounts Assistant
This is a superb opportunity for a graduate looking for a Level 7 apprenticeship [18-month contract] or someone already working towards their AAT/recognised accounting qualifications, qualified by experience.
There is a clear intention to make the position permanent at the end of the 18-month apprenticeship
The role requires the candidate to undertake a set of allocated daily, weekly, and monthly processes which ensures that Customer payments are applied to their accounts in a timely and efficient manner
The successful candidate will be a have a genuine commitment to service delivery to both internal and external customers
You will strive to ensure quality, timeliness and productivity levels are always met, whilst adhering to the Company's internal and external regulatory, legal and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities required for the role of Apprentice Accounts Assistant
The main responsibility of the role is to work with the other processing staff members to execute the high-volume processing of customer transactions in relation to Mortgage and other loans, cash transaction can take various forms whether collections or payments.
Various analysis and reconciliations are also undertaken on a periodical basis in including Bank Reconciliations, nominal reconciliations etc.
Purchase Ledger Processing
Currently the volume of Purchase Ledger invoices is around 100 per month, there are a very small number of Sales Ledger invoices [no credit control required]
The role would be required to undertake invoice processing and payment, reconciliation of supplier positions etc.
Overtime may be required from time to time but not expected to be frequent.Experience required for the position of Apprentice Accounts Assistant
Accounts experience an advantage but will be trained as required.
Good level of accuracy, numeracy, and mathematical skills.
Good working knowledge of computer and keyboard skills knowledge of Excel an advantage but training can be provided.
