Assistant Accountant
Description✓Border to Coast are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Leeds.
✓Your main responsibility will be management of the accounts payable ledger, ensuring the timely and accurate input of data into our accounting system [Microsoft Dynamics], dealing with suppliers and internal colleagues, developing robust controls/processes and ensuring the timely notification of any issues
✓In addition, you will manage the daily treasury processes, accounts receivable ledger and assist the Finance Manager in the production of the monthly management accounts, payroll, VAT, forecasting and project work.
✓About You
✓We’d like our Assistant Accountant to have previous experience of working in a finance department, working with financial ledgers [specifically accounts payable], banking, processing invoices and preparing monthly journals for accruals, prepayments, and payroll
✓You’ll have strong communication, engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge across all levels of the organisation and have high levels of integrity and trustworthiness.
✓With experience of working across business functions, managing budgets and cost control, you will have strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and decision-making skills and be able to manage to tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of outputs
✓A recognised accountancy qualification is desirable, but not essential.
