Finance Officer

DescriptionWe are recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer on a 6 months fixed term contract basis until 31st December 2023.

JOB PURPOSE:
You will support the Interim Finance Manager with the reconciliation of the Sales Debtors, Trader Debtors and Owner Debtors.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Working with the Interim Finance Manager, support with the reconciliations of the Salesforce Owner Debtors to the SunSystems accounting system.
• Investigation and resolution of variances, liaising with 3rd parties as required within required deadlines.
• Prepare, obtain approval and process journals in SunSystems.
• Work as a team to deliver departmental Key Performance Indicators and targets.
• On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
• Identify new and improved ways of working to drive efficiency and effectiveness, eliminating non-value-added tasks to create capacity for value added ones.
• Deliver 1st class service to customers both internally and externally.
• On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
• You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers, and visitors
You also have a duty to co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety duties.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail
• Reconciliation experience essential
• Experience of high-volume transactional process management
• Strong IT skills [Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams etc]
• Strong planning, time management and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a positive, proactive, can-do attitude
