Reporting into the Financial Controller, as a Part Qualified Accountant you will:
Be responsible for a small team in finance and oversee the transactional accounting of all sales and purchase ledger functions, management of expenses claims and credit card expenditure, credit control and banking reconciliations.
Manage the production of monthly budget reports for Budget holders
Support the Financial Controller on all month end and year end accounting duties including external and internal audit processes, regulatory returns and ad hoc requests for information.
Ensure that all transactional accounting which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash management and intercompany journals are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of the finance and accounting functions in the University.
We are keen to speak to people about this Part Qualified Accountant opportunity who have the following skills and experience:
Be part qualified, studying towards or have completed the ACCA / ACMA / ACA accountant qualification and have a demonstrable background from double entry bookkeeping / accounts up to monthly management reporting.
Good written communications and strong interpersonal skills to deal with individuals at various levels, and on potentially sensitive matters
In particular that can have a collaborative positive leadership style
Excellent IT skills, including advanced level with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach.
In return, you will receive a salary of £37,000 - £45,000 pa plus pension up to 8% contribution, 25 days holiday allowance, hybrid working opportunities and other benefits.
