✓Reporting into the Financial Controller, as a Part Qualified Accountant you will:
✓Be responsible for a small team in finance and oversee the transactional accounting of all sales and purchase ledger functions, management of expenses claims and credit card expenditure, credit control and banking reconciliations.
✓Manage the production of monthly budget reports for Budget holders
✓Support the Financial Controller on all month end and year end accounting duties including external and internal audit processes, regulatory returns and ad hoc requests for information.
✓Ensure that all transactional accounting which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash management and intercompany journals are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
✓Ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of the finance and accounting functions in the University.

✓Be part qualified, studying towards or have completed the ACCA / ACMA / ACA accountant qualification and have a demonstrable background from double entry bookkeeping / accounts up to monthly management reporting.
✓Good written communications and strong interpersonal skills to deal with individuals at various levels, and on potentially sensitive matters
✓In particular that can have a collaborative positive leadership style
✓Excellent IT skills, including advanced level with Microsoft Office Suite.
✓Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach.
✓In return, you will receive a salary of £37,000 - £45,000 pa plus pension up to 8% contribution, 25 days holiday allowance, hybrid working opportunities and other benefits.
