Payroll Coordinator

DescriptionSF Recruitment have partnered with a brilliant business based in Central Derby who are recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator on a full time permanent basis working a 37 hour week
My client is looking for candidates with experience of administering Payroll processing in a large multi-site organisation
My client offer hybrid working; which looks like 2 days in the office and 3 days from home

The main purpose of the role is:

To process all Payroll data associated with the end-to-end employee lifecycle in accordance with company process, policy and compliance in a timely and accurate manner covering monthly Payrolls
Responsibilities include processing new starters, leavers, contractual changes along with absence and other pay related deductions
There will also be a requirement to cross reference data with our Time and Attendance System to ensure consistency and accuracy of data across systems

About the Role

My clients People Support team are responsible for delivering a high quality and consistent HR, Recruitment and Payroll administration service
This means ensuring all transactional processes relating to the employee lifecycle are processed correctly in line with agreed work instructions and SLAs
The team are structured across Payroll and HR work streams with a strong focus on recruitment administration

Responsibilities include:

- Fully understand the iTrent Structure, including inheritance, pay structures and terms and conditions in order to deliver correct pay to employees
- Analyse incoming data, verifying accuracy and ensuring that the data is compliant with company terms & conditions and pay rates, Tax and National Insurance, and all other statutory regulations
- Verify all calculations are correct, having resolved any queries on original data with the appropriate Home/Scheme
- Deal with general correspondence and telephone calls from outside bodies ensuring GDPR compliance and customer focused responses
- Provide support and guidance to all employees and Line Managers for all absence particularly including all Statutory Sick Pay/Maternity/Adoption Pay/Paternity Pay schemes in conjunction with company polices and terms and conditions
- Operate the Statutory Sick Pay/Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Pay Schemes in conjunction with the Occupational Sick Pay scheme
- Receive and process all applications for Buy and Sell Annual Leave, check submissions and approvals and process deductions and payments in line with flexible benefits window
- Understand the Pension Auto Enrolment process and process any Opt ins, Opt outs and Withdrawals to support the full process
- Provide information, advice & guidance on Time and attendance system to resolve pay queries and data discrepancies, working closely with Customer Services Centre
- Assist with correcting any payroll discrepancies after the payroll calculation processes have been run
