Payroll Supervisor
Description✓We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Payroll Supervisor to join the internal Payroll team, at Thames Valley Police based in North Oxford.
✓The position will suit an experienced Payroller with leadership experience, who is looking to step up into a managerial position
✓You will need to be self-motivated, with a desire to learn.
✓The purpose of this role is to lead and support all of the department's day to day activities
✓You will be invested in continuous process improvement and managing change.
✓Key Tasks
✓Leadership and support of a team
✓Advise others by being a Force expert in all areas relating to Payroll
✓Build good relationships with our customers, demonstating effective decision making
✓Production of key data for analysis and auditors
✓Monitoring compliance with legislation and polices.
✓To participate in process improvement and documentation of processes and proceduresThe candidate will have
✓Proven experience all areas of Payroll
✓Practical knowledge of legislation and procedures key to payroll
✓Numerical skills.
✓Excellent communication skills.
✓Organised and able to meet deadlines.
✓Proactive in solving problems.
✓Confident with payroll systems [preferably ePayfact]
✓Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
✓Experience in managing staffPlease ensure you provide full answers to the questions giving examples where you can.
