Payroll Supervisor

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and highly organised Payroll Supervisor to join the internal Payroll team, at Thames Valley Police based in North Oxford.
The position will suit an experienced Payroller with leadership experience, who is looking to step up into a managerial position
You will need to be self-motivated, with a desire to learn.
The purpose of this role is to lead and support all of the department's day to day activities
You will be invested in continuous process improvement and managing change.
Key Tasks
Leadership and support of a team
Advise others by being a Force expert in all areas relating to Payroll
Build good relationships with our customers, demonstating effective decision making
Production of key data for analysis and auditors
Monitoring compliance with legislation and polices.
To participate in process improvement and documentation of processes and proceduresThe candidate will have
Proven experience all areas of Payroll
Practical knowledge of legislation and procedures key to payroll
Numerical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Organised and able to meet deadlines.
Proactive in solving problems.
Confident with payroll systems [preferably ePayfact]
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
Experience in managing staffPlease ensure you provide full answers to the questions giving examples where you can.
