Purchase Ledger Team Leader

As the Purchase Ledger Team Leader you will report into the Purchase Ledger Manager and will be responsible for the day to day management of the team whilst remaining hands on with the supplier process and ensuring all targets and deadlines are met on a daily and monthly basis

The successful candidate will be responsible for:-
- Overseeing invoice processing and the satisfactory resolution of invoice queries.
- Ensuring all invoices are entered to finance system upon receipt and are processed in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Controlling, auditing, and reconciling the Raw Materials database
- Checking and authorising sterling and currency supplier payment runs
- Ensuring all supplier account statements are reconciled and queries addressed.
- Approval of amended accounts and check trading terms are in line with agreed policy.
- Ensuring statutory returns [eg Fitters CIS return] are submitted and paid within set timescale.
The ideal candidate will:-
-Have previous experience of managing/overseeing a Purchase Ledger Team.
-Be self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced environment and enjoy working towards deadlines.
-Be able to and will enjoy implementing new processes and procedures and will be comfortable taking the lead on training members of staff on new ways of doing things.
-Be able to build relationships with the wider finance function and other key stakeholders within and outside of the business.
-Have proven management skills and will be able to motivate team members whilst also remaining hands on with the daily workload.
-Have strong Excel experience to an advanced level.
