Senior Accountant
Description✓NXTGEN are working with an expanding Accountancy firm based in Peterborough in their search for a Senior Accountant
✓Having experienced a number of key client and business wins in recent months, the firm is investing heavily in this team and the increasing workload has created this vacancy
✓As Senior Accountant, you will support a mixed client portfolio of SME's and OMB's across a variety of sectors from Technology to Manufacturing, providing business owners with detailed financial insights on business performance
✓This will include the production of Management Accounts and year end close for larger clients as well as basic bookkeeping tasks for smaller sole traders
✓The Senior Accountant will also work with business owners on their personal tax queries and self assessment returns
✓The role is client facing giving the successful candidate the opportunity to forge excellent client relationships, contributing to further growth and success of the office
✓As a senior within the team you will also support the ongoing mentoring and development of junior members of the team.
✓The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant [ACA/ACCA or equivalent] with prior experience working within an accountancy firm
✓Finalists that are nearing completion of their studies are also encouraged to apply for the role and study support is available for those with a few exams left to sit
✓Prior experience in client facing roles would be significantly advantageous and you will need to be confident presenting financial information to senior external stakeholders and business owners
✓Experience across both personal tax and accounts preparation is desirable, however training can be provided for the Tax elements of the role if required
