Academic Administrator
Description✓£13.29 - £17.72 per hour [dependant on experience]
✓37 hours per week - Monday - Friday
✓Temporary - 6 months
✓Office based in Sandwich area
✓Tate are currently working with a large pharmaceutical company to recruit for an experienced Academic Administrator on a temporary basis
✓Your role would be to effectively coordinate and manage a balanced and resourced programme of activities relating to STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths] and Academic Outreach.
✓Key responsibilities:
✓To act as point of contact to multiple external stakeholders and in turn to work closely with internal academic leads to project manage, engage colleagues and deliver events which serve to inspire students into science careers.
✓Responsible for coordinating events taking place on site and in local schools
✓To create and maintain a calendar of events for the academic year
✓Collate all STEM and outreach opportunities from third party stakeholders, stakeholders include STEM learning, Head Teachers, Careers Advisors etc
✓Advertise outreach opportunities to colleagues and ambassadors using various internal media
✓Support students through the application process
✓Provide students with all associated paperwork including parental consent, Risk Assessments and guidance to protect the students on site
✓Ensure timetables run smoothly and doesn't impact the business
✓Monitor equipment and supplies to support all events including science materials, T shirts, giveaways
✓Monitor annual budget
✓Preparation and circulation of promotional materials where required including esigns, newsletterSkills/experience:
✓Excellent project management skills, with a strong ability to plan and prioritise workload
✓Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
✓Able to work in complex organisation and regulated industry
✓Good attention to detail
✓Strong desire to be a continuous learner and share learnings with the team
