Logistics Coordinator
Description✓Our client are currently looking for a Dangerous Goods specialist to join
✓their Events Logistic Team at their fast-paced office in Dunstable
✓This is a Full Time,
✓Monday to Friday position, working 9am to 5:30pm.
✓Our Events Team have a crucial role in ensuring shipments are delivered on time
✓Our
✓comprehensive range of services are geared specifically towards our events industry,
✓including ad-hoc emergency shipments, multimodal transportation, customised equipment, and on-site handling
✓Without these shipments, events cannot take place, therefore our team need to work confidently towards extremely tight deadlines relating to the event calendar.
✓You will be working within a fast-paced team where efficiency and compliance is at the
✓upmost importance
✓As a Dangerous Goods specialist, you will need to understand
✓dangerous goods regulations and procedures to ensure safe transportation.
✓Your role as a Fuel/Dangerous Goods Specialist
✓• Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding fuel shipment requirements
✓• Arrange collection of fuel shipments ensuring customer timelines are met
✓• Work alongside the operational team to book transportation of shipment utilising air,
✓ocean, or road freight
✓• Arrange for re-import of fuel shipment when events have concluded
✓• Adhere to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation
✓• Liaise directly with Carriers and Handling Agents to resolve exceptions and
✓discrepancies as they arise
✓• Review and Transmit Customs Entry records via the Impatex tool
✓• Use Cargowise to create, manage and maintain fuel shipments
✓About you – you will need
✓• Experience/knowledge of handling dangerous goods shipments
✓• A clear understanding of the principals of supply chain and logistics
✓• Computer skills including basic-intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
✓• Exceptional customer service skills with strong communication with your team and
✓external stakeholders
✓• To be process driven with great attention to detail and understanding of the
✓importance of compliance
✓• The ability to prioritise workload and perform under pressure
✓• Experience/Knowledge of customs – not essential but would be advantageous
