Outskirts of Bedford - transport required due to location.
Our family run business are looking to recruit a keen, loyal, and dedicated office / operations manager to assist in the smooth running of the company following a considerable period of growth.
The key aspects of the job are:
•             Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the office and being pro-actively involved and prepared to assist in all areas when necessary.
•             Maintaining a focused approach to achieve monthly sales targets, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
•             Management of a small diverse team, both in house [4 staff members] and freelance [marketing and web agencies].
•             Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with key account customers through regular telephone contact.
•             Chair monthly team meetings to ensure a focused approach from all the team in attaining objectives and increasing sales.
•             Overseeing and monitoring marketing activities alongside freelance marketing resource to ensure they meet our planned objectives.
•             Helping in the preparation and planning of trade show administration and maximising profitability in this area.
•             Attending weekly management meeting to ensure smooth running of all operations, plus collation of weekly sales report.
•             Overseeing all processes of customer queries, complaints, and email questions, ensuring they are answered efficiently and professionally.
Administration tasks
•             Assisting in the preparation and dispatch of orders in a timely and efficient manner
•             Communication with the Production and Dispatch department to ensure correct products are prepared for customer dispatch.
•             Ensuring that Traceability systems are current, up to date, and adhered to
•             Keeping general order of the office; ordering stationery, welcoming visitors, and client relations.
What you have to offer:
-              Proven office / operations management experience in a growing business.
-              A high level of flexibility and adaptability to cover the diverse duties under this role.
-              You are driven and prepared to go the extra mile to motivate your team and help them succeed.
-              Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
-              You have a sound working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems.
-              You are proactive and self-motivated, responding to people promptly and in a professional manner.
-              You can contribute to long term business growth and development.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 7:30am – 4pm with ½ hour for lunch
