Operational Analyst
Description✓Roles include:
✓Operations Analysts who provide actionable information that can help improve operational performance, problem-solving, decision-making, and development, as well as project reporting
✓This may also include financial analysis as well as interpretation and validation of data to supporting the planning and development of power system operation or ex-ante and real time balancing market operation, through to settlement and the management of queries and disputes
✓Business Analysts who will work on the introduction of, and changes to, key systems and tools to support our business
✓Specific activities will include drafting high-level business requirements and ensuring these are translated accurately in future system designs
✓In addition, you will draft test cases and execute User Acceptance Testing to ensure functional aspects of system changes are acceptable and meet the business requirements
✓You will bring your knowledge and analysis to bear in the role to support readiness for releases as well as the resolution of issues, investigation of queries and support of audits
✓You will have a third level degree in a relevant discipline, with typically 2 years relevant technical experience
✓You will have experience of software testing and system release programmes as well as experience of SQL, VB and database structures
✓You will have strong attention to detail and quality orientation as well as strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capability
✓You will be an effective communicator with excellent report writing capability and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
