DescriptionJRRL are looking for a Secretary to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Sixth Form management team of a local school
Ideally, you will have experience as a secretary within an educational setting.
Key areas of responsibility for the Secretary:
Provide secretarial and admin support for Director of Sixth Form and Sixth Form Management Team
Managing the electronic UCAS application system and supporting students and tutors in the preparation of personal statements
Sixth Form Open Evening preparation and attendance at internal and external Open Evening
Attendance on GSCE and A Level results days
Assistance with organisation of Sixth Form Prospectus and Guide to courses and other Sixth Form publications
Act as the main school UCAS correspondent, managing staff set up and maintaining school UCAS website
First point of contact for student reference requests – school/college and employment
Responsibility for Sixth Form admissions and enrolment
Supervise Head Boy/Head Girl and Deputies with various school charity collections and any other ad hoc duties
Offering support and guidance to the Admissions Officer
File management for all Sixth Form related issues – internal and external
General support to staff and students for Sixth Form Ball organisation
Person Specification for the Secretary:
Ideally experience within admissions and UCAS
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Ability to use own initiative and remain calm under pressure
A working knowledge of SIMs would be desirable
