✓Our client a leading supplier of rail infrastructure including Civil Engineering, Communications, Permanent Way, alongside Civil Engineering & Building projects with the Rail sector
✓They now require a Stores Person to join their busy and ever-expanding team.
✓Role Purpose
✓The main responsibility in this role is hiring out small plant and internal tooling and assisting with on an ad-hoc basis externally hired equipment
✓Keeping on top of ordering basic common stock levels on materials and approved PPE supplies
✓Experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
✓This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out within the role and Identifies the level of responsibility but not limited to, the position may also require other duties which are to be carried out from time to time as deemed appropriate by your line manager
✓Responsible to OTP & Plant Operations Manager for:
✓* Enter and terminate hire contracts onto the Syrlnx System for small tools and plant.
✓* Upon set up of hire contracts, circulate to Quantity Surveyors and relevant Managers.
✓* Produce monthly internal plant & transport Invoices.
✓* Raise purchase orders on Syrlnx and enter goods receipts.
✓* Reconciliation of orders and delivery documentation.
✓* Issue PPE from stores and record on Syrinx.
✓* Ensure that PUWER I LOLER reports for on-site equipment are sent to all live contracts weekly, monitor and report on returns.
✓* Assist with proof of plant certification and conformity to sites, where applicable.
✓* Produce weekly on-hire plant report.
✓* In conjunction with depot staff, ensure that all plant and materials in stock meet the correct conformities and carry the required labelling.
✓* Promote the Company’s Values, and PALs Behavioural Based Safety programme In all aspects of your role.
✓Skills & Experience
✓* The successful candidate will be ambitious and keen to grow with the company.
✓* Previous plant hire/hire desk experience would be an advantage.
✓* Strong IT Skills [Outlook/Word/Excel].
✓* Interest in Plant/Plant Hire.
✓* Confident telephone manner.
✓* An excellent work ethic, timekeeping record with a willingness to learn.
✓* Must have professional in communication skills in dealing with colleagues and suppliers.
