✓Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
✓Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum + on call payments
✓Hours: Mon - Fri 09:00am - 17:30pm | Weekends 06:00am - 14:30pm OR 09:00am - 17:30am
✓Working Patterns: Working 5 days out of 7 on alternate weekends
✓Our client offers travelling tours, ranging from short breaks to European holidays
✓They are looking for a hands-on and experienced Transport Scheduler to join them on a permanent basis!
✓Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Transport Scheduler plays a crucial role within the Transport team by ensuring the smooth running of our clients tour operation
✓You will schedule coaches from over 70 fleet suppliers, as well as a number of additional third-party coaches across 52 weeks of the year.
✓The ideal candidate will have previous experience in logistics or operations management, ideally with a service delivery background, and excellent organisational skills.
✓Please note, this is an office base role that will require you to work alternate weekends with an on call rota 1 in 5 days

✓Key responsibilities of a Transport Scheduler
✓* Schedule a fleet of contracted coaches to maximise fleet utilisation.
✓* Schedule and contract third-party coaches to ensure every tour has a coach reserved.
✓* Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships.
✓* Ensure 90% of schedules are arranged at least 6 months in advance.
✓* Schedule to peak times and large events.
✓* Maintain the allocations and schedule database at all times.
✓* Contribute to processes as directed by the Head of Logistics.
✓* Support the logistical delivery of the coach operation by efficiently routing and planning coach tours.
✓* Act as a point of contact for operators and drivers whilst they are on tour.
✓Key skills of a Transport Scheduler
✓* Experience in logistics or operations management, ideally travel, tour and coach operations.
✓* Awareness of legislative and budgetary constraints
✓* Excellent knowledge of UK geography.
✓* Ability to build and maintain working relationships with suppliers.
✓* Strong planning skills with a sharp focus on costs and the bottom line,
✓* Sound Microsoft Excel skills.
