✓About the Role
✓We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lecturer to work within the Animal Care department at Dearne Valley College
✓We are looking for an engaging individual who are also able to teach across all levels [L1-L5] of the Animal Care provision.
✓The role of lecturer is to equip our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential

✓The key roles of a Lecturer are to deliver excellent teaching each year, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and to set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.
✓You will…
✓hold a relevant qualification at level 3 or above in Animal Care and for our higher education learning programmes you should hold a degree
✓You must hold a relevant teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards
✓You will have the ability to deliver a quality teaching, learning and assessment experiences across a range of levels in Further Education
✓You will need to be passionate and engaging with the ability to bring the subject matter to life and make it a positive experience with a wide variety of learners.

✓The Animal Care Curriculum Area opened in September 2020 and offers courses from Level 1 to Level 6 in Animal Care and Animal Management
✓With a wide variety of animals housed in our modern facilities, now is a very exciting time to join our team!
✓Your line manager will be the Curriculum Director and/or Curriculum Manager. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your Programme Leader / Curriculum Leader regarding a range of KPI’s including [but not limited to] student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
