Description✓Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
✓Location: Gretna - DG16
✓Hourly Rate: £13 - 16 p/hr- *This is a Temporary to Permanent role*
✓Hours: Mon-Thurs - 2:30pm - 10:30pm / Fri 12:00pm - 6:00pm
✓Our client is a well-established saw mill who has provided high quality timber products for the construction of industrial, commercial and domestic landscapes for over 60 years
✓They produce and supply agricultural fence posts, landscaping and play area products.
✓They are looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team
✓You will be responsible for the day to day maintenance activities within the plant, to keep downtime to a minimum, using preventive and reactive maintenance procedures in line with site specific maintenance schedules.
✓The ideal candidate will have;
✓Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering [e.g
✓City & Guilds or equivalent]
✓Maintenance and fault finding experience.
✓Heavy Plant Experience
✓Experience of working in a saw mill is desirable
✓A willingness to develop in the role
✓You would need to be flexible as some works must be done after the mill has shutdown.
✓This is a temporary role initially and will become permanent for the right candidate
