We are recruiting for a motivated Senior Tree Surveyor / Consultant willing to join a busy and growing Tree Consultancy
Currently our client has 3x consultants based in Hampshire, Sussex, and Essex, and due to growth, need to have presence north / west of Home Counties
Established over 20 years ago, they have formed a reputation for providing clients with sound pragmatic professional advice and the best quality tree surveys and arboricultural reports.
They operate an expanding and successful tree consultancy business assisting a wide range of clients throughout the private, commercial, and public sectors
The team of professional tree consultants, offer a wealth of invaluable, practical experience and take pride in delivering a straight-talking, direct approach.
Location: Flexible Home Working, ideally within striking distance of the M1/ M40 corridor, south of the Midlands or M4 corridor east of Swindon
The position is home based but if needed serviced office accommodation local to successful candidate can be provided.
The Role
Undertaking Tree Surveys for Planning Applications and Tree Risk Management projects.
Inform a proposed development and support a planning application [BS[Apply online only]]
Tree Surveys to support planning application and comply with BS5837
To address a landowner's or manager's duty of care in terms of tree risk and hazards
To provide tree management recommendations
Provide fixed cost quotations for the required output, with an agreed timescale of the completed surveys.
Joining the team, you will be working closely with the directors of the business to manage the growing portfolio of work
The Person
Experience in supporting clients at all stages of Arboricultural consultancy work and you have the skills to undertake surveys and prepare the necessary reports and CAD plans.
Support planning applications and have experience of other aspects of tree consultancy works.
Experience of taking development projects from the initial site meeting and tree condition survey through to submission of the arb information for planning applications and discharge of planning conditions.
A good understanding of the planning system and construction process
Good knowledge of the guidance and legislation relating to trees and planning
You will have experience of tree surveying for Tree Risk Management and Planning Applications [BS[Apply online only]]

Qualifications
Relevant degree or Relevant Level 4 Qualification in Arboriculture
Professional Tree Inspection Qualification
