CAD Designer
Description✓Founded in 1997, a specialist designer and manufacturer of breakout/agile working/collaborative furniture in the UK office furniture market who operates from a 28,000 square foot premises located in Upper Clatford, Andover
✓It is now seeking a CAD Designer to join its expanding team.
✓As a CAD Designer your duties will include:
✓Designing components, schemes, and special items for customer orders.
✓Cleaning and processing customer orders.
✓Producing AutoCAD production drawings for special components as required.
✓Project coordination of special jobs – this will involve documentation control, Bill of material control & checks, planning, liaising with other departments.
✓Produce CNC production drawings.
✓Checking of special components and inspecting finished product.
✓To be a successful CAD Designer you will have the following skills and experience:
✓High competence and experience in AutoCAD – both 2D and 3D – this is essential.
✓Understanding of technical drawings, general arrangement, first angle projection and competency with manufacturing drawings.
✓Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.
✓Ability to communicate by phone and email with customers, suppliers, and external sales staff.
✓Previous experience within the furniture industry is preferred but not essential.
✓Experience with Adobe CC is preferred but not essential
✓You will be working 09:00-17:30 with 1 hour lunch break, a total of 37.5hrs per week.
✓In return the CAD Designer will receive a salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum depending on experience plus 22 days’ holiday [with 3 – 5 days taken for Christmas shutdown].
